šØš¬ "It’s going to be a big game, we’re really confident."Gabriel Martinelli looks ahead to our Champions League semi-final first leg against PSG š£️ššHaving the opportunity to reach the UEFA Champions League final with Arsenal is a dream come true for Gabriel Martinelli, whose loving life in north London and can’t wait for the semi-final first leg at home to PSG.“It’s going to be a big game, we’re really confident,” he said in his pre-match press conference on Monday. “We know the quality that we have. Of course it’s PSG, it’s an amazing team. The’ve got a really good side with great players, but we’re really confident, we trust ourselves to get the win.“We had two great games against Real Madrid at home and away. We have huge respect for PSG but we’re ready. We’ve been working so hard this season and deserve to be here and go for it.“It’s a dream to be here. Since I started to play football when I was five or six I had this dream to play in the Champions League and to be in the semi-final. I love to be here and the club has given me so much, not just on the pitch but off it as well. I’m really happy.“It’s an opportunity for our lives. It’s a great game and everyone that loves football would love to be playing these kinds of games. We’re going to enjoy the moment."The club has never won this title and the club deserves to have it. It's one of the biggest clubs in the world and we're really happy to be involved in the final four. We're excited for the game and believe we can win it."Alongside Bukayo Saka, Gabi got to taste what it was like to score at the Bernabeu in a quarter-final, and Martinelli was full of praise for his fellow winger.“It’s amazing to have him in the team. He’s a brother to me, I love him. I think he’s one of the best players in the world right now. We’re lucky to have him here. We’ve been through so many things here at the club and I think we deserve to be living this moment right now to win something great.”Copyright 2025 The Arsenal Football Club Limited. šØWhere will he be playing his football in 2025/26? š¤ššManchester City’s squad could be looking very different next season, but one youngster seemingly won’t yet be a part of it.It has been a very tough season for Manchester City in 2024/25, and fans are fully expecting a revamp in the next transfer window.Pep Guardiola already made headway with that in January, with four new players coming in: Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov, Vitor Reis and Nico Gonzalez. But there will be plenty of outgoings this summer. It’s been suggested that at least seven senior stars could leave Manchester City.As much as fans expect there to be new signings, it will be intriguing to see if any players currently out on loan will get a chance next season.Callum Doyle has played well out on for Norwich and may well be an option. But someone who doesn’t seem likely to be playing any part for City next term is Maximo Perrone, with a new claim being made about the midfielder. This season Maximo Perrone – who City signed for £8 million from Velez Sarsfeld (BBC Sport) – has been on loan at Italian club Como.He played for Las Palmas last season and impressed in Spain. And this term he’s had a taste of Italian football – and seemingly done quite well.Como manager Cesc Fabregas looks on (central), and mystery player (inset)Credit: Jonathan Moscrop/Getty ImagesTransfersHomeCesc Fabregas ready to take key decision on £8m Man City gem, but European giants are lurkingTom ProcterTom ProcterTue 29 April 2025 12:30, UKManchester City’s squad could be looking very different next season, but one youngster seemingly won’t yet be a part of it.It has been a very tough season for Manchester City in 2024/25, and fans are fully expecting a revamp in the next transfer window.Pep Guardiola already made headway with that in January, with four new players coming in: Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov, Vitor Reis and Nico Gonzalez. But there will be plenty of outgoings this summer. And this term he’s had a taste of Italian football – and seemingly done quite well.Como have now secured their top-flight status for next term, which represents a successful first season in charge for head coach Cesc Fabregas.Perrone has been a regular for Como, making 22 appearances for the club so far. He would have had more to his name, but he picked up an injury earlier in the campaign. And Perrone has clearly made an impression on Fabregas, because Tuttomercatoweb are now reporting Como want to take up their option to have Perrone on loan again for next season. But it’s suggested there is always interest from Inter Milan, so it remains to be seen where he’ll play his football next season. We will see if Inter come in with a permanent bid for Perrone. But a move back to Como on loan does seem a more likely outcome, with the player talking up staying a couple of months ago.Perrone suggested he’s likely to stay at Como, admitting: “There are agents, representatives, I don’t know anything. As far as I’m concerned, I want to stay here, grow and learn more with ComoI want to give a hand to my teammates and I’m happy to stay with Cesc. I have an excellent relationship with him. I hope my future is here with Como.”With City having already signed Gonzalez in January, and Rodri set to return from injury, and new recruits potentially coming in, it makes sense for Perrone to stay out on loan.šµ
