UEFA to Investigate Premier League Referee David Coote Over Video Which Shows Him Sniffing 'White Powder'UEFA has decided to investigate Premier League referee David Coote after a video allegedly showed him using 'white powder' at Euro 2024.The investigation began after PGMOL (Professional Game Match Officials Limited) said they take these claims “very seriously.”A PGMOL spokesperson said, “We know about the claims and are taking them seriously. David Coote is suspended until the investigation is complete. His well-being is very important to us, and we will keep supporting him during this time. We can’t say anything more for now.”Earlier, the 42-year-old was suspended after a video allegedly showed him saying something about former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. UEFA is also looking into those comments. On Wednesday, The Sun newspaper published a picture it claims shows Coote using a rolled-up dollar bill to inhale white powder during the summer Euro tournament. The Sun says Coote shared these pictures with a friend during the event.UEFA says they’re looking into a possible rule violation and have assigned an “ethics and disciplinary inspector” for the case. The UEFA Referees Committee has suspended Coote from international matches this week, saying they made this decision on November 11 after learning about the alleged behavior.#UEFA #DavidCoote #PremierLeague #Referee #Euro2024 #FootballDaily Echoes
